Going from strength to strength the Successful living collection by Diesel for Foscarini is gaining momentum.   An unmistakable style and mix of textures and finishes gives the collection impact but with great versatility.

The collection by Diesel has proved to be a great success in contact environments as well as residential and it looks so impressive in situ. We’ve just put up our showroom display and it’s all a big hit with the team, it’s substantial, well designed and creates a real impact.

The Fork lampshade is inspired by fashion and camping! Stitched like jeans with the texture of canvas, when the  light is on it reveals a patchwork structure and a glow like a light inside a tent. But it is the dramatic contrast with the industrial bent stem that makes it such a great design. Available in floor and table versions and large and small suspension versions, in grey or ivory. The Cage lamp has a clear industrial influence and is characterised by its irregular structure and the contrasting texture of the glass diffuser and metal cage. Cage is available in two sizes and in two colours – black or white. The glass diffuser comes in the same colours and it is  possible to mix and match to create a completely monochrome scheme. Again with a really industrial feel the Glas is a reinvented icon. The glass diffuser is made from chrome blown glass that gives a fantastic  mirror effect when the light is off, contrasting with a warm, deep light when the light is on – like a an old Parisian cafe.  The diffuser is completely closed and along with the traditional style fittings creates a glamorous vintage look. Designed by BDP architects the building is a superb example of modern architecture.  Momentum was appointed to select and supply the loose furniture package and is really excited to have provided a designed, contemporary and quality scheme to this wonderful building.

The result is impressive both internally and externally and the building has won the 2011 Education Project of the Year from Mix Interiors and a prestigious award from RIBA.

We had a great time in our fabulous Fatboy beer garden and the weather was amazing, hard to leave those beanbags at the end of the evening!

The £22.5m investment into the design and building of new facilities in Cathays Park provides the RWCMD with state of the art facilities, a new theatre and purpose-built concert hall which will alter the cultural scene in the city. Standing proud between North Road and the east side canal in Bute Park, the RWCMD’s unique location will make it an ideal post for the programme of events it has on offer starting this June.

Momentum sourced and supplied the contemporary furniture for the public areas of the new build, identifying product solutions that will enhance the aesthetic of the build as well as provide the quality required for the streams of people sure to be visiting this amazing new building.

We have worked closely with the RWCMD over the last two years whilst the college was going through the many changes, redesigning and providing furniture for refurbished areas of the college including the student union bar, refectory and main offices.
